Employees at CAES Systems LLC, an aerospace company acquired by Honeywell International Inc., lost their lawsuit challenging various aspects of their retirement plan after a federal judge ruled for their employer on the case's final remaining claim.

The plaintiffs, participants in CAES Systems' 401(k) plan, lacked standing to press claims that the company violated federal benefits law when it failed to provide them with the plan's investment policy statement upon request, Judge Eumi K. Lee said.

The judge ruled on Wednesday that the participants failed to show how they were injured by this purported misstep, which is fatal to their case.
