Hopkins Reconnects with Welsh Roots Through Google Maps

Sir Anthony Hopkins revisited his childhood neighborhood in Wales using Google Maps. The 88-year-old actor has lived in the US for decades, but still loves to reminisce about his youth in Margam, Port Talbot.

Despite being 'a bit too old' to return to his hometown, Hopkins uses technology to revisit familiar streets and photographs from his past. He told ITV News, 'I go to streets and move up the street, the photographs of my streets in Wales... I'm always going back there.'

Hopkins attended the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, where he developed a passion for music. As a young actor, he struggled with discipline and felt like an outsider among his peers.
