Disney Legend Don Hahn's documentary 'Huz: Drawn to Life' is coming to Disney+ sooner than expected. The film, which examines creativity, resilience, and mentorship, had been available on PBS SoCal since February as part of their Black History Month programming.

The documentary focuses on Ron Husband, the first Black animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios, during the studio's animation renaissance in the 80s and 90s. Hahn's film was initially mentioned as a new Disney+ documentary in the recent lineup reveal for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

However, it turns out that 'Huz: Drawn to Life' will actually be available on Disney+ on Friday, August 14, before its special panel at the event on August 16. Don Hahn shared this news on social media, putting an end to speculation about when the film would arrive.

The documentary explores the creative legacy of Ron Husband and his experience as a trailblazer in animation history. It also touches on conversations around mentorship and creativity that are currently reshaping the entertainment industry.
