IBM Buys UK Cybersecurity Consultant Logiq

IBM has acquired Logiq Consulting, a UK-based cybersecurity consultancy, in an effort to expand its secure digital transformation and cybersecurity capabilities in the UK.

Founded in 2018 by Rich Forder, James Walker, Rob Guegan, and James Morgan, Logiq Consulting provides services to Defence, Government, Critical National Infrastructure, and regulated sectors. The company's expertise is highly specialized in Secure by Design and cybersecurity assurance.

The acquisition was hailed as an 'exciting new chapter' for Logiq Consulting, with CEO James Morgan stating that the deal will enable the company to deliver even greater value to its customers and strengthen the security and resilience of critical systems and services. IBM's managing partner for UK & Ireland, Rhodri Arrowsmith, added that cybersecurity is 'absolutely critical' to organizations as they accelerate their transformation and adopt AI at scale.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
