IBM Expands Bob Platform with Self-Hosted Deployment Options
IBM has expanded its agentic software development platform Bob by adding self-hosted deployment options. This move allows enterprises to bring the technology to data hosted on-premises, in private cloud or sovereign cloud environments.
The company claims that this increased flexibility will give enterprises more control when applying AI to software delivery and modernization projects across their environments.
According to IBM, organizations need AI that operates inside environments they have control over, especially when working with sensitive code and regulated data. Neel Sundaresan, general manager of AI and automation at IBM, stated this in the company's announcement on Wednesday.
This development aligns with IBM's AI strategy, which is built on 'hybrid, sovereignty and trust.' The company aims to support AI deployment by providing a hybrid approach that includes a mix of public, private and sovereign cloud offerings.
