Ireland Jumps to Third Globally in AI Adoption
Ireland has taken a significant leap forward in its adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), rising from fourth to third globally and becoming the top-ranked economy in Europe, according to Microsoft's latest Global AI Diffusion Report.
The report reveals that Ireland's AI user share increased from 48.4% to 49.9%, almost three times the global rate of 18.8%. This impressive growth has catapulted Ireland ahead of Norway and France, but behind only the UAE and Singapore in the global rankings.
Globally, nearly one in five working-age people now use generative AI, with almost every economy recording growth. The report highlights Ireland's continued momentum in AI adoption, which presents an opportunity to translate this progress into meaningful economic and societal impact.
