Japan Airlines (JAL) has extended its base maintenance contract with Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO). The agreement covers various aircraft types, including Boeing 737, 767, 777, and 787 models, as well as Airbus A350 aircraft. Maintenance work will be carried out at HAECO's facility in Xiamen, China.

The contract, which spans from 2026 to 2033, marks the continuation of a long-standing partnership between JAL and HAECO. The two companies have collaborated for over 20 years and have performed maintenance on more than 430 aircraft to date. In 2025, they successfully completed base maintenance on a JAL Airbus A350 aircraft.

JAL is also involved in various joint ventures with HAECO, including a new facility in Van Don, Vietnam. The company's stake in HAECO Xiamen and its partnership in the Vietnamese project underscore its commitment to expanding its maintenance capabilities.
