JP Morgan Slashes McDonald's Price Target Amid Reinvestment Roadmap
JPMorgan has reduced its price target for McDonald's stock to $260 from $280 while maintaining an Overweight rating. This decision comes after the company outlined a four-year reinvestment roadmap during its Analyst Day presentation.
The plan, which spans from 2027 through 2030, aims to achieve approximately 250 basis points of gross restaurant-level efficiency improvements. McDonald's also targets gaining 1.5 market share points each in chicken and beverages by 2030.
The company projects operating margins in the low-to-mid 50% range compared to 47.5% posted in fiscal 2025. Additionally, McDonald's has committed approximately $8.5 billion in contributions to franchisees through 2036, with roughly 60% allocated by 2030.
