JPMorgan Shifts Data-Sharing Notices to App Homepage

JPMorgan Chase & Co., the largest US bank, has made changes to its data-sharing practices in an ongoing battle with fintechs. The bank will now prominently display notices on the sharing of customers' data through its banking app.

The new setup will give customers a clear view of which accounts are linked to an app and provide tools for them to manage their data. Existing connections to apps won't be disrupted unless customers choose to do so, according to people familiar with the change.

JPMorgan's head of payments, trust and security, and open banking, Melissa Feldsher, stated that 'customers should be in control of their financial data' and that this move is a step towards achieving that goal.
