KeyBanc Stands Firm on McDonald's Overweight Rating Amid Market Skepticism

KeyBanc has reaffirmed its Overweight rating on McDonald's stock () with a price target of $305.00, citing optimism about the company's long-term growth prospects.

The firm maintained this rating following McDonald's Investor Day presentation, where the company introduced new long-term targets and emphasized its focus on strategic areas such as menu innovation, technology, and hospitality.

However, shares traded lower in response to market evaluation of these goals, including operating margin targets, which some analysts deemed challenging to achieve. As a result, McDonald's stock currently trades at $240.32, near its 52-week low of $234.03, down over 20% year-to-date.

Despite this decline, KeyBanc remains optimistic about McDonald's prospects for sustainable growth and share gains in the medium-to-long-term, supported by its scale and track record of maintaining a dividend for 51 consecutive years.
