Longtime IBM Employee Joseph Davis Sr. Dies at Age 85

Joseph Davis Sr., an IBM veteran and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, at Asbury Heights skilled nursing facility in Pittsburgh, PA. Born July 31st, 1941, in Poughkeepsie, NY, to Joseph A. and Margaret M. (Rinkle) Davis, he spent his formative years in the area.

Davis graduated from Poughkeepsie High School and Dutchess Community College before embarking on a 29-year career as a senior systems analyst at IBM. He later worked for the County and City of Poughkeepsie.

His marriage to Regina R. Dosio, which celebrated its 63rd anniversary in May, was a long and loving one. Davis is survived by his wife, daughter Dana Sheridan, son Joseph J. Davis Jr., two sons-in-law, and six grandchildren. He will be deeply missed for his kindness, sense of humor, and dedication to his family.
