Malaysian SEO Agency Releases Free Tool to Verify Google-Confirmed SEO Rules
A Malaysian SEO agency has released a free browser extension called CiteCheck that flags which SEO rules Google has actually documented.
The tool, developed by Mackyclyde SEO, runs 50 on-page and AI-citability checks on any page and tags each one by how well evidenced it is. The labels include 'documented by a search engine', 'supported by published research', 'industry consensus', or 'informational only'. Each tag carries a link to the source or an admission that there isn't one.
The extension's founder, Nnabuike Precious, expects the tool will irritate parts of his own industry because it highlights how much of what is repeated as fact has never been confirmed by Google. However, he emphasizes that unverified doesn't necessarily mean wrong. CiteCheck makes a distinction between the two.
The extension also inspects robots.txt handling for AI crawlers and runs a page-level entity check, comparing how a page identifies the business behind it against how the rest of the site does. Inconsistent names, mismatched addresses, and conflicting founding dates are among the issues it surfaces.
