Marvell Stock Surges as Amazon's AI Chip Revenue Hits $25 Billion
Marvell Technology's stock surged 7.3% in pre-open trading after Amazon revealed its custom AI chips have reached $25 billion in annual revenue.
The disclosure is a major demand signal for Marvell, which serves as a lead design and networking infrastructure partner for AWS's proprietary Trainium silicon.
Amazon's quarterly earnings call also showed the company's capital expenditure commitments further validate the scale of the AI infrastructure buildout in which Marvell plays a central role.
Bloomberg Intelligence noted that these commitments, combined with Alphabet's similar announcements, further confirm the growing demand for AI infrastructure.
In addition to Amazon's news, Microsoft's earnings call revealed it has opened 31 data centers and 88 across fiscal 2026, with its Maia 200 AI accelerator powering both OpenAI workloads and internal models.
Marvell supplies custom networking ASICs and optical DSPs operating at 800G and 1.6T speeds for Microsoft's Maia 200 deployment infrastructure.
