McDonald's Corp., owner of the MCD stock ticker, revealed its long-term growth and profitability targets during its 2026 Investor Day. The fast-food giant is targeting an operating margin in the low-to-mid 50% range by 2030 and expects free cash flow conversion in the mid-to-high 80% range by then.

The company acknowledged it's 'falling short' when it comes to consistent execution, a gap it plans to address through its McDonald's>NEXT strategy. This plan focuses on four pillars: Menu>NEXT, Consumer>NEXT, Restaurant>NEXT, and People>NEXT.

McDonald's is implementing Restaurant>NEXT to simplify operations and modernize restaurants with GenAI-enabled ArchIQ technology. According to an executive, ArchIQ could free up at least 50 labor hours per restaurant each week.
