Bangladesh Seals Deal for Additional Boeing Aircraft Amid US Ambassador's Praise

US Ambassador in Dhaka Brent T Christensen welcomed Bangladesh's decision to procure 11 additional Boeing aircraft, calling it 'another win-win for the US-Bangladesh relationship!'

The agreement is set to be finalized in New York, where Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will also attend the UN General Assembly session. This deal comes on top of a previous $3.7 billion agreement signed by Biman Bangladesh and Boeing on April 30th, which included 14 aircraft.

Biman officials said the new planes would bring their total planned Boeing acquisitions to 25, but did not disclose details such as models, price, or financing terms. The airline is also considering a separate proposal to acquire Airbus aircraft.
