The New Jersey Food Council has chosen Jim McGreevy as its next president and CEO. He will succeed Linda Doherty, who announced her retirement in February after 33 years with NJFC.

McGreevy is currently the Vice President of Government Affairs for The Coca-Cola Company, where he leads the company's federal advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C. Prior to that role, he served as president and CEO of the Beer Institute, a national trade association representing brewers, beer importers, and supply-chain partners.

NJFC Chair Jason Read said McGreevy was chosen for his experience in building coalitions and advocating for industry interests. 'We were looking for a proven leader who understands our industry,' he said.
