Meta Unveils Premium VR Headset with Disney Magic

Meta has unveiled its latest innovation in virtual reality - the Meta VR Glasses. This sleek and premium headset is set to revolutionize the way we experience immersive entertainment, with a price tag of $1,299 and a release date scheduled for Spring 2027.

The most striking feature of the Meta VR Glasses is their lightweight design, weighing in at just 100 grams thanks to the use of a separate tethered puck that houses the computing power. This puck is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Reality Elite chip with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be expanded via microSD.

The headset boasts stunning visuals, with dual micro-OLED screens running at 120Hz and a resolution of 2,412 x 2,288 per eye. It also supports Dolby Vision HDR and is IMAX Enhanced certified, paired with Dolby Atmos audio for an immersive cinematic experience.

At launch, the Meta VR Glasses will come with a range of features and content, including support for 75 hand-gesture-controlled games, Beat Saber with a new Flux mode, and access to the full Quest library. Xbox Cloud Gaming is also supported for those who prefer gaming via the cloud.
