Microsoft Ditches Copilot+ PC Brand on New Surface Devices

Microsoft has quietly retired its AI-focused Copilot+ PC brand on new Surface devices. The company launched Copilot+ PCs just over two years ago to identify computers with exclusive artificial intelligence features.

The latest Microsoft devices and OEM products no longer carry the 'Copilot+ PC' label, despite meeting all technical requirements for the designation.

Brett Ostrom, Surface CVP, confirmed that the new 12-inch Surface Pro and 13-inch Surface Laptop do not bear the Copilot+ PC name. He stated that these devices meet all previous requirements for Copilot+ PCs but did not explain why Microsoft dropped the branding.
