Microsoft Investors Face August Deadline in Class Action Lawsuit
Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) investors have until August 11, 2026 to file a lead plaintiff motion in a class action lawsuit. The suit alleges that Microsoft made false and/or misleading statements about its business between May 1, 2025 and January 28, 2026.
The complaint claims that Defendants failed to disclose material adverse facts about the Company's business, operations, and prospects. Specifically, they allegedly hid issues with Microsoft's Copilot family of products, including brand positioning, user experience, usage, data siloing, computational capacity, organizational, and interoperability problems.
Additionally, the suit claims that Microsoft needed to increase its capital expenditures by billions of dollars to improve the competitive positioning of its critical Copilot family of products. This led to a diversion of GPU and CPU capacity away from fulfilling demand for its profitable Azure services.
