Microsoft Sets Sights on $10 Billion Gulf State Cloud Push
Microsoft is making a massive investment in the Gulf states, pledging to put over $10 billion into cloud and AI infrastructure by 2030. The funds will be split across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait.
In addition to its cloud investments, Microsoft plans to pour an extra $400 million into undersea and terrestrial connectivity infrastructure in the Middle East by 2030.
The company's move aims to bolster support for regional partnerships, including G42 in Abu Dhabi, which received a $1.5 billion investment from Microsoft last year.
