Microsoft Unveils Haptic Feedback in New Surface Mouse

Microsoft has updated its Surface Mouse lineup with a new model featuring haptic feedback and a range of other improvements. The company unveiled this second-generation mouse at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit event in Maui, Hawaii.

The new Surface Mouse boasts an internal vibration motor that provides subtle pulses and tactile responses to confirm clicks, along with feedback for on-screen interactions such as snapping windows or aligning objects in supported applications.

It also includes a customizable Action Button that summons Copilot by default but can be configured to work with other actions and Windows shortcuts. Users can only customize this button using the Microsoft Surface app.

The mouse supports Bluetooth 6.0, allowing it to connect to multiple devices simultaneously, and has a large battery that lasts up to six months on a single charge.

Microsoft claims this model is built with 30% recycled content, including more recycled plastic than previous models such as the Surface Arc Mouse and the Surface Precision Mouse.
