Microsoft users in parts of Canada are facing disruptions due to the end of seasonal clock changes. The issue arose as some regions, including British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba, did not turn their clocks back on November 1, 2026, remaining on UTC−07:00, UTC−06:00, and UTC−05:00 respectively. This change has caused problems with scheduling and incorrect times across several Microsoft products.
According to Microsoft’s guidance, published on October 26 and updated on Monday, confirmed impacts include Outlook and Exchange Online calendar issues, incorrect times in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, and incorrect time zones in Teams Auto Attendant. Other affected products include SharePoint On-Prem, Power Automate Desktop + Cloud Flows, Fabric, Microsoft Bookings, and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
Microsoft recommended users take several actions before November 1 to mitigate the issues. These include ensuring the latest Windows updates are installed on devices used to access Microsoft 365. The company also advised users to review recurring meetings in Outlook and Exchange Online, as they do not migrate automatically. For Power Automate Desktop + Cloud Flows, Microsoft suggested using temporary mappings, such as SA Pacific Standard Time in Bogota, Colombia, for users in Manitoba.
The company noted that product teams are actively working to confirm the impact, mitigations, and timelines across all affected Microsoft products. Users are advised to check for updates on additional impacts and fixes as they become available.
