Moonshot AI Seeks Revenue-Sharing Deals with Microsoft, Amazon, Google

Chinese AI startup Moonshot AI is in early talks with Microsoft (MSFT), Amazon (AMZN) and Alphabet's Google (GOOGL) over revenue-sharing agreements for its Kimi K3 model.

The proposed deals would allow the cloud giants to host Kimi K3 on their platforms, with Moonshot seeking a 30% share of revenue generated from related services running on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud.

According to Reuters, the talks are preliminary, with unresolved issues including revenue splits, data access, and token-usage auditing.

Moonshot faces scrutiny from U.S. officials over allegations involving AI model distillation and access to Nvidia (NVDA) chips, which the company has denied.
