Morningstar Relocates Global Headquarters to Renovated Thompson Center
Morningstar, an investment firm founded in Chicago over four decades ago, is relocating its global headquarters to the James R. Thompson Center.
The move comes as Google transforms the downtown landmark into a new regional headquarters, with reconstruction expected to be completed by 2028.
Morningstar will occupy 275,000 square feet in the Thompson Center and employ over 1,500 people in the Chicago region.
The company plans to donate $5 million to local nonprofits focused on financial literacy and career development for Chicagoland residents.
