Munster Praises Cook for People-Focused Approach at Apple
Apple's former CEO Tim Cook may have left the company behind, but his legacy lives on. Gene Munster, Managing Partner at Deepwater Asset Management, recently shared his thoughts on Cook's greatest contribution to the tech giant in a blog post.
Munster praised Cook for maintaining his focus on people despite achieving immense success and fame as CEO of Apple. 'I most admire about Cook is that despite all of the fortune and fame of becoming the world's most powerful CEO, he kept his North Star and always cared deeply about people.'
Cook's business accomplishments during his tenure at Apple were also notable. Under his leadership, the company saw significant growth in its services segment, with a 75.6% gross margin in the June 2026 quarter.
Munster highlighted Cook's ability to navigate geopolitics and maintain strong relationships with world leaders, including President Donald Trump and Chinese leadership. 'He took [Steve] Job's greatest product, Apple itself, and shepherded it into a new era,' Munster said.
