Nadella Backs XBOX Streamlining, Sees Growth on the Horizon
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has expressed his optimism about the current state of XBOX, praising the brand's efforts to streamline its processes. This comes after recent layoffs that affected hundreds of XBOX staffers and impacted major IPs like Halo.
Nadella credited XBOX CEO Asha Sharma for leading the charge in streamlining the brand, calling it 'great to see.' However, he also acknowledged that a sustainable business model is still needed to allow XBOX to deliver gaming to more people.
The Microsoft chief emphasized his confidence in the brand's IP portfolio and studio capabilities, stating that he feels 'fantastic' about the current situation. He noted that Asha Sharma and her team are working towards getting XBOX back on track with growth this next fiscal year.
