The Nasdaq Jumps To Record Close Amid Tech Gains
The Nasdaq 100 soared to its record high on Tuesday, while investors look ahead to this week's summit between Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The index added 0.8% as tech and chipmakers led the gains, with Nvidia (NVDA), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Broadcom (AVGO), Micron Tech (MU) all rising between 1.7% and 2.1%.
Oil prices cooled off after President Donald Trump said American officials held a productive three-hour session with Iranian representatives, with Brent crude futures falling 1.1% to $99.25 a barrel.
