NUFC Rejects Naming-Rights Deal for St James' Park Amid Sponsorship Boost
Newcastle United has agreed to several lucrative sponsorships in recent months, but despite speculation, the club will not be rushing into a naming-rights deal for St James' Park. According to sources, the club intends to retain the St James' Park name for now and has no immediate plans to rename the stadium.
The club's long-term future is still being determined, with Newcastle exploring both the redevelopment of its historic home and the possibility of building a new stadium on a nearby site.
One significant factor in the decision not to rename the stadium is the unresolved future of St James' Park itself. However, the club has been securing major sponsorship deals, including a three-year agreement with KNOX worth around £80million in commercial revenue.
The deal includes renaming the club's training ground The KNOX and placing the hydration company's logo on the front of the first-team shirt. Additionally, the St James' STACK will be rebranded after a new multi-year partnership with Coca-Cola was confirmed this week.
