PayPal Leads Gains as US Stocks Close Higher on Friday
U.S. stocks closed higher on Friday, marking a positive end to the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 1.02%, while the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 also saw gains of 0.53% and 0.61%, respectively.
Among listed companies, PayPal led the charge with a gain of 4.70%. Microsoft also performed well, increasing by 3.77%. However, not all stocks fared as well, with Circle declining by 4.12%, followed closely by Intel and Meta at 3.43% and 3.41% respectively.
Intel and Meta were among several listed companies that saw significant losses on the day, along with MARA which dropped by 2.88%. Despite these declines, the broader market showed resilience in its gains.
