Nvidia is investigating reports that its Blackwell B300 chips have been shipped to China without proper licensing. According to Bloomberg, Semi-Tech Leasing, a Chinese state-linked leasing firm, financed over $420 million for more than 700 servers since August 2025, including 32 Asus systems equipped with Nvidia's B300 chips.

The US restrictions on exporting advanced AI computing capacity to China are meant to limit the country's capabilities. Investigators will focus on who the 'end user' is and how the hardware moved through resellers and logistics firms.

Nvidia said it's looking into the report and will work with its original equipment manufacturer customer, while Asus aims to comply with applicable laws and export controls.
