Nvidia Pumps Up Stake in SpaceX Amid AI Hardware Dominance
Nvidia's investment portfolio is worth over $99 billion, and the company has just filed its quarterly 13F report.
The report shows that Nvidia now holds a significant stake in SpaceX, making it the AI leader's second-largest holding with a value of around $21 billion.
This investment comes from Nvidia's initial $10 billion stake in xAI, which merged with SpaceX in February and converted into public shares when Elon Musk's company went private in June.
Nvidia's position in SpaceX is particularly notable due to the close relationship between the two companies. Elon Musk has committed to using Nvidia's graphics processing units (GPUs) as primary hardware for his data centers, which suggests that Advanced Micro Devices may not be able to compete in this category.
