Nvidia Sets Record with $150B Share Buyback Boost
Nvidia has authorized an additional $150 billion for its share repurchase program, bringing the total remaining authorization to $235 billion. This is the largest share repurchase authorization increase in history, according to Nvidia.
The company expects to execute the total remaining program through fiscal year 2028 and stated that it will use this authorization to return capital to shareholders. 'Our cash generation gives us the capacity to invest in the technologies that advance this transformation and return capital to shareholders,' said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia.
Nvidia's growth is attributed to demand for artificial intelligence and accelerated computing technologies. The company designs graphics processing units and system-on-a-chip units for various computing markets.
