Nvidia Shield TV Pro Price Jumps to $299.99 After Seven Years
The Nvidia Shield TV Pro, a streaming device launched in 2019, has seen its price increase by $100 over the past seven years. The original price was $199.99, but it has now risen to $299.99. Nvidia attributed this hike to the increased cost of components, particularly memory, which has impacted the entire industry.
The price surge makes the Shield TV Pro one of the oldest gadgets to see such a significant increase, even older than the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series consoles. Nvidia has also discontinued the base model of the Shield TV, likely due to its unprofitability at the previous price point. The company stated, “We’ve also stopped producing the standard Shield TV model as we focus on production for Shield TV Pro.”
Despite the higher price, the Shield TV Pro may become more available as it becomes more profitable for Nvidia. Recent stock shortages at major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart could improve with increased production. However, discounts during the ongoing Prime Day 2026 sale are unlikely.
For buyers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle Eastern regions, the $299.99 price is a US figure and not confirmed locally. Availability and pricing in these areas may vary based on imported inventory.
