Nvidia Stock Slips After Hours Amid Senate Testimony Invitation
Nvidia's stock price slipped by 1% in after-hours trading on Thursday following a report that Sen. Elizabeth Warren invited CEO Jensen Huang to testify before the Senate Banking Committee on the company's China business and compliance with U.S. export controls on advanced AI chips.
The invitation comes weeks after Huang joined President Donald Trump on a summit trip to Beijing, where he met Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Nvidia has held that its market share in China has fallen sharply, but lawmakers from both parties have expressed concern about the possible diversion of chips to China through third countries. The company has maintained that it has seen 'no evidence' of widespread diversion.
