NWK Group Snaps Up $15 Million in AMZN Shares
A recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) shows that NWK Group Inc. acquired a new position in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) shares during the second quarter. The company bought 65,135 shares of AMZN stock valued at approximately $15,524,000. This purchase represents about 4.8% of NWK Group Inc.'s portfolio and makes it the e-commerce giant's seventh-largest holding.
The acquisition is not an isolated instance, as other hedge funds have also modified their holdings of AMZN. Trust Asset Management LLC increased its stake in Amazon by 3.3% during the second quarter, while MilWealth Group LLC raised its holdings in shares of Amazon.com by 79.0% in the fourth quarter.
Amazon's stock has been performing well despite some recent setbacks, including a fatal cargo-plane crash and AWS unable to restore access to damaged facilities in Bahrain and the UAE. The prolonged loss of access to customer data and cloud availability zones raised concerns about service resilience, customer retention, potential costs, and reputational damage.
