Pixel 10a Price Hikes Mirror Industry-Wide Memory Cost Surge
Google's Pixel 10a smartphone has seen its price jump by $100 to $599 for the 128GB model, according to recent listings on Google's U.S. website and online store in Japan.
This increase comes as a result of rising memory costs, which have been affecting the consumer electronics industry as a whole. The Pixel 10a launched in March at $499 for the 128GB model, but with prices now climbing, it seems that even older models are not immune to the trend.
The price hike is just one example of how memory costs are driving up prices across the consumer electronics industry. Samsung has also raised its Galaxy S26 smartphone prices by $100, while Apple increased prices on some iPhone 18 models and discontinued discounts for older iPhones.
