Pokémon Happy Meals Toys Coming to Japan for 30th Anniversary
Pokémon has partnered with McDonald's Japan to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The collaboration brings new Happy Meals toys, featuring 30 different Pokémon species. Each round of releases includes six toys, representing all 27 starter Pokémon across nine generations.
The first round kicks off on August 7 and features disc-shooting, ring toss, spinner, and rolling toys for the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova starters, and Pikachu Poké Ball Roller. The second round starts on August 14 with more spinners and shooters for the Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea region starters.
McDonald's Japan is limiting purchases to six Happy Meals per customer group on August 7, 8, and 9 to deter scalpers. The third round begins on August 21 with a wider selection of toys, but the exact release schedule has not been announced.
