Repeat Offender Arrested for Violent Stabbings in Pittsburgh
Delvin Dobbins, 19, is behind bars without bail after his third arrest in a month, facing multiple charges including violent stabbings. A judge denied bail for Dobbins following allegations that he stabbed his former co-worker multiple times at the East Liberty bus station in Shadyside on October 1. The attack reportedly stemmed from a dispute over a female co-worker they both worked with at the East Liberty Home Depot.
Dobbins was arrested on Sunday night at a Wendy’s on McKnight Road. The criminal complaint described him as a "safety risk to the victim and the community," citing similarities between this incident and another violent attack eight days prior. On September 24, Dobbins was charged with aggravated assault after Pittsburgh police said he stabbed a man in the stomach during a fight in Garfield on September 23. After a brief chase, police found a knife they believe was used in the stabbing. The victim was hospitalized in serious condition.
Despite being released on nonmonetary bail by Judge Wright after the Garfield incident, Dobbins had already been released on nonmonetary bail once earlier in September. On September 4, Judge Olasz granted him bail after he was charged with criminal trespassing for allegedly breaking into the home of his former foster parent, who had a protection from abuse order against him, and hiding in the attic crawl space of the connected home.
New charges were filed today against Dobbins in connection to a robbery on September 13, with details of that incident still under investigation. Dobbins’ criminal history includes charges related to a shooting at a South Side convenience store when he was 16 years old.
