Ryder Cup at Adare Manor Already Boosting PGA European Tour's Bottom Line

The PGA European Tour has reported that its bottom line received a boost from the upcoming Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Co Limerick. The event, scheduled for September 2027, is already generating revenue for the tour. According to new group accounts filed by the PGA European Tour, the £40.59m (€47.64m) in Ryder Cup revenues reported last year contributed to overall revenues of £346.37m for 2025.

The majority of the tour's income comes from 'DP World and other', with the Amgen Irish Open at the K Club also contributing to its revenues. The accounts note that the staging of a 'home' Ryder Cup, such as the one in Adare Manor next year, generates substantial revenue through contracts established with the host nation and associated government and tourism organisations.

PGA European Tour chairman Eric Nicoli described the Ryder Cup as 'golf's greatest contest', stating that it remains a crown jewel for the group. The tour recorded an operating loss of £64.49m due to administrative expenses of £400.89m, despite reporting increased sponsorship and consumer turnover of £197m in 2025 compared to £181m in 2024.
