Salesforce Doubles Down on UK Investment and Skills Training
Salesforce UK&I CEO Zahra Bahroloumi has reaffirmed her company's commitment to investing in skills training and upskilling of young people, regardless of government changes. In a recent media roundtable, Bahroloumi stated that Salesforce is 'not stopping' its mission to boost workers across the country.
Bahrololoumi highlighted Salesforce's $6 billion investment committed to the UK through 2030, and its role in backing the UK government's aim to train 10 million UK workers by 2030. She emphasized the importance of addressing the AI literacy gap, which Salesforce is trying to close with its Trailblazer program.
The company is also expanding its apprenticeship scheme, graduate opportunities, and plans to double the size of its forward-deployed engineer team in the UK within six months. Bahrololoumi believes that this is an opportunity to reinvest in the next generation and create jobs in the UK, rather than relying on offshore locations.
Bahrololoumi suggested repatriating jobs from abroad and creating more capacity in the UK, arguing that Salesforce has the capability to do so. She emphasized that her company's mission is to remain true to its customers and continue investing in skills training and upskilling of young people.
