SD Library Partners with Google to Boost Digital Skills

The San Diego Public Library has partnered with Google to offer free career advancement courses for county residents. The 'Grow with Google' program provides industry-recognized credentials in digital fields, including cybersecurity and data analytics.

The library announced that residents aged 13 and older with an active SDPL card can apply for access to the program on a first-come, first-served basis. Each license lasts six months, during which time participants can complete as many eligible courses and certificates as they wish.

Since its inception, over 1 million people have used these programs to train for higher-paying jobs, with 70% of graduates reporting a positive career impact within six months of completion.
