Shawn Levy Inks Multi-Year Deal with Disney Television

Disney Television has signed a multi-year deal with Shawn Levy's production company, 21 Laps Entertainment. This deal follows Levy's partnership with Lucasfilm on Star Wars: Starfighter and marks his return to Disney after a decade-long stint at Netflix.

The agreement will see Levy developing and producing series across Disney Entertainment's global portfolio of platforms and brands. Dana Walden, President and Chief Creative Officer of The Walt Disney Company, praised Levy's ability to create wildly entertaining and deeply human stories that capture audiences and inspire fandom.

Levy has a long history with Disney, having directed the Disney Channel series The Famous Jett Jackson early in his career. He also produced Disney's Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Levy expressed excitement about the deal, citing his kindred spirit with Disney's storytelling ethos.
