Slackbot Users Surge, Fuels Salesforce Growth Prospects
Salesforce's Slack platform is showing signs of growth momentum after its acquisition. The company reported that Slackbot users increased by over 150% in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, with the fastest quarterly net new annual order value (NNAOV) growth since the acquisition. This rise in usage could become a key driver for Salesforce's growth as it looks to reignite its core business.
The company has been working to add artificial intelligence capabilities to Slack, which can automate tasks and connect employees with business data. This move is paying off, with upgrades to premium Slack additions tripling after the launch of Slackbot. Bookings for Agentforce One Edition and Agentforce for Apps more than doubled quarter over quarter.
Salesforce cited continued strength in Slack and Agentforce as key contributors to its second-quarter revenues, which rose 11% year over year to $11.35 billion. Subscription and support revenues increased 12% to $10.82 billion.
