Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, has formed partnerships with major tech companies to integrate its augmented-reality glasses, Specs, into workplace environments. The move aims to position Specs as a hands-free computing solution for businesses in industries such as retail, manufacturing, and field services.

The partnerships include collaborations with Salesforce, Nvidia, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), among others. Salesforce's AI agent platform, Agentforce, will be integrated into Specs, enabling workers to access company data and automate tasks through the glasses.

Nvidia will provide the AI capabilities for Specs, allowing it to interpret a worker's visual environment and retrieve relevant company data. AWS will also offer its AI assistant, which can be controlled using voice commands.

The partnerships are part of Snap's efforts to drive sales in a competitive market dominated by Meta's AR glasses. To this end, the company is targeting enterprise customers who require hands-free computing solutions for their workers.
