T-7A Red Hawk Advanced Trainer Completes First Instructor Class

The U.S. Air Force and Boeing have made history with the first instructor class for the T-7A Red Hawk advanced trainer, a milestone in pilot training.

Seven contract instructor pilots completed a 31-day simulator course using recently installed T-7A Red Hawk ground-based training system simulators at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. This marks the first time these simulators have been used by U.S. Air Force personnel.

The simulators use 8K high-fidelity imagery and resolution, as well as integrated live, virtual, and constructive capabilities to provide a realistic training environment.

Nathan Schelp, senior director of Government Training Engineering, said 'This outcome is the culmination of many years of design, build, test, and instructional design development.'
