Taemin's North American Tour Hit by Visa Issues

South Korean singer Taemin has postponed his North American leg of his World Tour due to ongoing uncertainty surrounding US visa issues for a 'significant number' of production and touring staff. The tour was scheduled to take place from October 12 to 23, with shows in San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Newark, New Jersey, and Grand Prairie, Texas.

The decision to postpone the tour was made after the artist's team determined that proceeding with the tour as scheduled would carry significant operational and production risks. The team stated that they will reschedule the entire North American Tour dates and issue refunds through the original point of purchase.

Taemin, a 33-year-old singer who rose to fame as part of the boy band Shinee, has seen his career grow immensely over time. He performed at Coachella in 2022 by a Korean male solo performer, and his single 'Move' has approximately 138 million streams on Spotify.

The postponement of Taemin's tour highlights the growing issue of visa-related problems for foreign artists. In recent years, several bands have been forced to cancel their performances due to visa issues, including Hypocrisy, Enter Shikari, and FKA twigs.
