Ternus Faces $32 Million Per Hour Growth Expectations at Apple
Apple's incoming CEO John Ternus has his work cut out for him. He must build on the legacy of Tim Cook, who oversaw a remarkable transformation at the company over nearly 15 years.
Cook took Apple from near bankruptcy in 1998 to a $4.5 trillion market capitalization today. During his tenure, revenue nearly quadrupled to over $400 billion annually, with notable launches including the Apple Watch, AirPods, and Vision Pro headset.
Bank of America analyst Wamsi Mohan calculated that Apple's market cap has grown at a rate of roughly $32 million per hour for 15 years. Ternus will need to preserve Cook's profitable machine while introducing technological innovation and surprise.
