Todd Combs, formerly a stockpicker at Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, has directed approximately $5 billion in investments since joining JPMorgan Chase & Co. Combs now leads the bank’s strategic investment group, which focuses on industries vital to national security.
According to Combs, his team has allocated funds to 10 different firms, effectively deploying about half of the initial capital allocated to the group. This strategic move highlights JPMorgan’s commitment to investing in critical sectors.
The investments underscore Combs’ experience and expertise, as he transitions from his role at Berkshire Hathaway to a key position at one of the world’s largest financial institutions.
