Trent Hitchcock Named Opening Cruise Director for Disney Believe

Disney Cruise Line has revealed the opening cruise director for its upcoming ship, the Disney Believe, set to launch in late 2027. Trent Hitchcock will take on the role, overseeing the ship's entertainment, youth activities, and recreational offerings. Hitchcock has nearly two decades of experience with Disney Cruise Line, including serving as a cruise director for the past decade. He was part of the opening team for the Disney Destiny and has worked on nearly every ship in the fleet.

Hitchcock will begin preparations for the Disney Believe in the coming year, collaborating with Disney Cruise Line teams to develop the ship's entertainment and activities. He will travel to Papenburg, Germany, where the ship is being built at the Meyer Werft Shipyard, to be present for its maiden voyage and inaugural season. Hitchcock expressed his excitement about working closely with the ship from its inception, calling it an honor and privilege to be the opening cruise director for the Disney Believe.

The Disney Believe is currently under construction, with the ship being built one gigablock at a time. It recently celebrated a significant milestone with a keel-laying ceremony. The ship is expected to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet in late 2027, offering guests a variety of experiences, including deck parties, fireworks at sea, and Broadway-style shows.
