The Barbados Tridents Women qualified for the playoffs of the Women's Caribbean Premier League despite losing to the Guyana Amazon Warriors Women.

Tridents captain Hayley Matthews led her team with a half century, scoring 50 runs, but they were unable to surpass 158 runs in their 20 overs.

The Amazon Warriors completed a comfortable chase, finishing on 159 for five in 19 overs, but the Tridents secured a spot in the playoffs as the Amazon Warriors failed to finish within the target of 15 overs, allowing the Jamaica Empress Women to advance by virtue of a better net run rate.

The two teams will meet again in the Eliminator on Wednesday for a spot in the finals against the Trinbago Knight Riders Women the following day.
